*ahem*
After finding out we were gonna leave early in the morning, my fiance and I stayed up all night to leave at the crack o' 6am for Austin. Groggy and in serious need of the shut eye, were off. And I dunno if any of you have heard this, but there is a reason why we West Texans are so proud of our home:

Our sunrises and sunsets. I know it's blurry, but still. Beautiful.
While my fiance's mom had her optometry appointment, we wandered over to a really cool celtic heritage gift shop. They even sold kilts! They also had a pretty (fat) cat named Drucilla. I got to learn a little bit about my irish-scottish heritage as a Matlock, and even gotta try some irish tater-chips. Luckily, my fiace's dad didn't try on any of the kilts.
Well, for lunch we went to a Panda Express we stumbled on trying to find the hotel. It was DELISH. Well, I thought it was anyway. There's certainly a reason they're famous for their orange chicken. Mmmmmm. <3 Shoulda snapped a pic.
Anyway, after more aimless wandering we finally found our hotel and settled in. And by settled in, I mean I hop on here while my fiance checks his text messages:

The view from the hotel room is nice, lovely dead wood fence with some trees behind it. But heeey at least I don't have to look at it from the couch I will be sleeping on the whole time:

That's all for now. I'd have more pics, but I was freaking out half the time over the crazy-ass drivers here.
More tomarrow!
